A good looking dog groomer hunting for a potential boyfriend – How hard can that be? Oh it seriously can be quite hard if you pick the wrong guy. That’s exactly what the protagonist, Allie does. Succumbing to the pressure of keeping up with a family of intellectuals, Allie resorts to finding the perfect guy who would fit to her family standards. Along with her friends, Megan and Bree, she sets out to meet men. They initially start off by hitting the gym to find men, but that plan fizzles out. Eventually, they end up visiting a hotel for continental breakfast. Allie finds the perfect guy – Collin who says he is employed with an international jewel merchant. There is, of course, more to than what meets the eye. Not telling if Allie and Collin end up together!
The cover of the book has been done cleverly. Add to that a summary which would give you a different picture than the story in a way. The title however didn’t really make sense to me. This story had all the elements of a perfect romantic comedy in right proportions. In this genre particularly, many writers depend on their writing skills, ensuring witty dialogs to make up for the lack of actual comical elements. Then there are people like this writer who actually have a funny sequence of events which is narrated in a light and witty language. The editing, however could have been a bit tighter. Allie’s character was rambling quite a lot. That rambling could use a tone down. The plot was, such was nothing but a string of disasters glued together properly. The first half of the book was unpredictable, while the climax was predictable. The romance part of the book was kind of off shot. The actual pair wasn’t really romancing much or not, at least as much as I expected they would. However, the comedy part made up for the lack of romance. I had a goofy grin plastered after I had finished reading the book.
MY SAY: Breezy light hearted and refreshing read.

After graduating from college with a degree in Advertising, Pam merrily set off to earn a living, searching for that perfect career as she became a graphic designer, print buyer, pantyhose sales rep, public relations specialist, copywriter, freelance writer - and finally author. Pam has won numerous awards including the Booksellers Best, the Laurel Wreath, and a gold medal IPPY in the Independent Book Publisher Awards. She is a Kindle Book Awards finalist and a two-time Golden Heart Finalist. She lives in Wisconsin where she is working on her next novel.
