The story is a spin off from the first book and focuses on the Bree or Breanna Mitchell. Bree, a teacher by profession is on the look out of the man of her dreams. To find him, she sets off to an exotic beach locale along with her girl gang – Allie and Megan. The have a shaky start as a storm hits their destination and their flight is postponed. Thanks to the storm, their hotel becomes inhabitable. They meet Kristin, a local, who offers a stay at her beach front house, but her offer comes with a catch. Her brother Ethan, is at the risk of losing his inheritance as his grandmother insists that he settles down. Ethan being the player he is doesn’t have a girlfriend at present. Kristin pleads Bree to act as his girlfriend. They manage to convince and fool their parents and grandmother. Unexpectedly, Ethan lands and the show goes for a toss. Bree does get what she came looking for in first place; however now she is unsure if that is what she wants.
Given that I had read the first book just a day back, it was easy to adapt to the writing. The writing was obviously perfect. Just like the previous book, the story in this book was also a well strung sequence of dumb comical events. More like a comedy of errors! This story is all about Bree and the writer ensured to develop and focus on this character like she focused on Allie in the previous book. The other characters were a bit shallow in a way and were not as developed as Bree with Ethan's character being an exception. The climax was perfect and surprised me. I giggled and snorted my way through the book.
The cover is pretty well done again but is a bit misleading when thought of in tandem with the summary.
MY SAY: One fun and warm read.
