I do believe something very magical can happen when you read a book
JK Rowling is absolutely right about magic and books. Any bibliophile would agree with her. I do too!
For me, reading isn't a fixation, it's a mundane habit like brushing or bathing. It's my daily dose of much needed magic. It has always been so. It is who I am - a book addict, a bibliophile, a person who prefers books over people. To me, writing about the books I read (apart from reading) seems to be an enticing option rather than actually talking to people. No, I'm not an introvert, I just have priorities. Reading and writing about the books I read seems to top that list of priorities.
I'm lucky to have met people who seem to mirror my thought process when it comes to reading and socializing. A result of that was my previous blog - Readers' Muse - where I reviewed books for a good two years along with my bestie from school, a girl with equal passion for books and mirrored my thought process (and my looks may be too!).
Then came a time when I wanted to have my own space. A space just for me and my thoughts - predominantly about books. The fact that I was travelling and adapting to new things in life resulted in the need to have a space which is stamped just as mine. Thus was born this Blog - Book and Ink.
I'm a simple girl with simple aspirations. I'm a Instrumentation engineer by education and profession. Reading and writing are two things that keep me sane in this maddening world.
Welcome to my world! This blog is strictly about books, if you want a sneak peak into my world apart from books, do visit my other blog - A l'ouest (Or you can access it from that tab above!). I prefer to compartmentalize stuff!
If you want to talk to me about books, please don't hesitate to shoot off a mail to bookandink (at) gmail (dot) com
